Content Management System

A Content Management System (CMS) is an online interface that allows a non-technical user to add, edit, update, and delete data on the web.  CMS's run the majority of the internet now with hand-coded websites becoming rarer and rarer.  Most CMS's include text, graphics, and web management abilities while some extend far beyond that.

One great example of a content management system is the Site Avenger platform.  It is a scalar solution that can handle anything from single proprietor businesses to medium sized stores to enterprises and large distribution companies.  It has e-Commerce components, directories, event management, registrations, calendars, and many other features.  Check it out here:

CSS is an acronym for Cascading Style Sheets.  It is a language that is used to set the format and style of websites.  We use CSS in every single one of our web designs.
