Posted 3 weeks, 2 days ago | Viewed 66 times | 0 comments

Saco Design recently completed the Midcoast RideFinder website. The RideFinder is a service of Coastal Trans, detailing Midcoast Maine transportation providers and listing them by area serviced, type of transportation, and various other attributes.

Coastal Trans, a local non-profit transportation provider with 30 years of experience, recognized the challenging reality of serving the area's transportation needs. Realizing that the region's diverse locales and needs could not be adequately served by a single public transportation system, Coastal Trans worked with all of the area's transportation providers and social services agencies to create a unified directory of transportation options: The Midcoast RideFinder.

Project Background:

The existing York County Prevention Collaborative (YCPC) website was working well, but making updates was becoming increasingly more challenging. New Mast Head and Updated Look

In order for drsiegel.com to work for Dr. Granger, we needed to remove all reference to Dr. Siegel (sorry Marty!).  This may sound simple but it is actually quite involved.  Plus, this project was high stakes.  We didn't want to lose any search engine rankings, page rank or site traffic.

Project Goals

  • Maintain excellent search engine rankings (SERPs)
  • Migrate drsiegel.com to sedationdentistva.com (long-term, so as not to affect rankings)
  • Update look and feel of site to reflect Dr. Granger
  • Rewrite all content and copy from Dr. Siegel's message to Dr. Granger's.
  • Restrict costs to the neccessities- the same basic template was used.  Saco Design just added new photos, swapped out the masthead/logo, and rewrote all content to apply to Dr. Granger
