Midcoast RideFinder Site Goes Live

Posted 3 weeks, 2 days ago | Viewed 66 times | 0 comments
Saco Design recently completed the Midcoast RideFinder website. The RideFinder is a service of Coastal Trans, detailing Midcoast Maine transportation providers and listing them by area serviced, type of transportation, and various other attributes.
Coastal Trans, a local non-profit transportation provider with 30 years of experience, recognized the challenging reality of serving the area's transportation needs. Realizing that the region's diverse locales and needs could not be adequately served by a single public transportation system, Coastal Trans worked with all of the area's transportation providers and social services agencies to create a unified directory of transportation options: The Midcoast RideFinder.

Southern Maine SportsZone was created after Howard Sports in Saco, Maine decided to cease operations. Using the same facilities, but wanting to break completely from Howard Sports, Southern Maine Sportszone contracted with Saco Design to create a new corporate identity and brand.
Project Goals
Create a new logo and re-purpose the existing web site. Saco Design needed to create a new logo for SMSZ based on the client's demands. Saco Design also needed to update the look and feel of the existing web site (howardsports.com) and transform it into Southern Maine SportsZone. In addition, all content and copy needed to be updated from Howard Sports to SMSZ (including images, promotions, schedules, etc.). Saco Design also upgraded the website to its newest version of Site Avenger.

Non Profit Website Redesign and SEO Overhaul

Project Background:
The existing York County Prevention Collaborative (YCPC) website was working well, but making updates was becoming increasingly more challenging. The website was created and updated using a WYSIWYG editor (like Frontpage or Dreamweaver) over many years. Although content was relatively up-to-date, making changes resulted in formatting errors and unintended changes. The problem was compounding with each update...

Rebranded Web Site Goes Live

In order for drsiegel.com to work for Dr. Granger, we needed to remove all reference to Dr. Siegel (sorry Marty!). This may sound simple but it is actually quite involved. Plus, this project was high stakes. We didn't want to lose any search engine rankings, page rank or site traffic.
Project Goals
- Maintain excellent search engine rankings (SERPs)
- Migrate drsiegel.com to sedationdentistva.com (long-term, so as not to affect rankings)
- Update look and feel of site to reflect Dr. Granger
- Rewrite all content and copy from Dr. Siegel's message to Dr. Granger's.
- Restrict costs to the neccessities- the same basic template was used. Saco Design just added new photos, swapped out the masthead/logo, and rewrote all content to apply to Dr. Granger
TruChoice Federal Credit Union Launches Redesigned Web Site

Starting in 2007, TruChoice Federal Credit Union (TruFCU) began to reinvent its brand, choosing to work with iDiz. Saco Design was hired to take the web design templates created by iDiz and turn them into a fully-functioning web site.
Project Goals
Use the client-supplied web page design templates and create a robust and interactive web site. Saco Design received a single design template, for the homepage, and created the subsequent interior template using the already established design treatments. We also created some new concepts, including the rotating news element on the homepage. Saco Design also took it upon itself to improve search engine rankings through standard SEO techniques and SEO programming.
